Eligibility Criteria
• 8th - 10th grade student
• 2+ cumulative years of active participation in the Bruins
• Community Service Hours (varies by grade level)

Required Documents
• 1 letter of recommendation
• 1 unofficial school transcript

Application Opens September 14, 2024

Solidify a few potential candidates for your letter of recommendation and ask for their help in order of your preference. Ensure your recommender understands the ARKLA timeline to ensure on-time completion.

Request your unofficial transcript from your school office/registrar.

Review the written prompts and begin working on your responses.

Mid January

Complete your ARKLA application (Due January 13).

Early February

IF YOU RECEIVE AN INTERVIEW SELECTION EMAIL…

Coordinate & schedule your interview.

Prepare for your interview by reviewing your written responses and your ARKLA research notes.

Participate in the virtual interview.

February - December ‘24

If selected as a finalist, execute your volunteer/community service proposal and provide documentation of completion to arklegacyaward@gmail.com to receive the full award.
